I was hired as a sound designer \/ composer for Radical Entertainment shortly after graduating from UBC music school. Since then I have been an audio director \/ lead sound designer on many game projects. Working on various generations of game consoles, PC, and mobile platforms as well as AR\/VR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Recording, Mixing, Foley, Editing SFX, Music and Dialogue for linear and interactive media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Managed AAA audio projects from concept to completion, including audio tools and technology requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have mic\u2019d arenas to record crowd sounds at NHL games in Vancouver, Chicago and New Jersey. I have also recorded NFL crowd sounds in Seattle and San Diego.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While in New York recording VO with sports casters for a hockey video game, I spent my free time between sessions doing guerilla field recording on the streets and subways of Manhattan. The game \u2018Jackie Chan\u2019s Stuntmaster\u2019 uses subway sounds recorded while riding with the door open between the train cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have always enjoyed working on the technical side of game sound design. This interest stems from my studies at the UBC school of music where I studied various electro acoustic techniques as well as programming in C-Sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After several years in the game industry, my interest in Technical Sound Design and programming led me earn an \u2018Associate Degree in Applied Software Development\u2019 (programming) from BCIT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am comfortable working in various DAW\u2019s and sound file editors, Pro Tools, Unity, UE5, FMOD, Wwise. I am Wwise certified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I was also the senior game audio instructor at the Vancouver Film School for 4 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
